Anyone care to take a guess? I'm going to take a look through our squad as it stands and have a go myself, but I'll have to take note of who is currently injured, and who may not be match fit. So it may be good to make two predictions if you wish; 1) Our 'best possible' starting XI Who you would pick assuming every player was 100% fighting fit 2) Our 'real world' starting XI Who you would pick based on what we know about fitness among the players, and who has had what amount of game time in the pre-season matches. I must say I'm not overly happy that Charlton have not treated any of our pre-season games as though they were league matches - in terms of substitutions. Even against Southend, the whole team subbed. My predictions will follow when I've done some studying... PS: If a number of us post our guesses I could set up a simple 'league table' in this thread, of the accuracy of members' predictions. Nothing too complicated, just maybe a point awarded for each correct player prediction. Then update the league table after every match played. Probably league games only - Cup ties being too unpredictable... Note: Only 'real world' starting XI guesses would qualify for the league table.
Result / Score predictions could also count in the league table, Maybe 1 point for a correct result prediction, 3 points (total) for getting the score right as well.
Me neither - that's chiefly why the Sheriff wants my job But even a partial prediction would be OK for the league table. If any member doesn't feel confident about predicting all 11 players, just name four or five... Of whatever number you wish to. No obligation to predict, or to join in for every game. Just a bit of fun. All correct guesses will get a point, and no deductions for not guessing all 11. Though any member guessing all 11 players correctly may get a bonus. Possibly a Then at the end of the season the member with most wins the Prediction Trophy while the member with the most accumulated points becomes League Champion As they may not be one and the same person. I'm just making this up as I go along here
Ok my predicted starting 11 are: Gkp - Kaminski CB - Jones CB - Gillesphey CB - Ramsay LWB - Edwards RWB - Bell Mid - Coventry Mid - Docherty Mid - Apter FWD - Campbell FWD - Kelman 1-0 to the Addicks
No idea, but I am predicting a comfortable 2-0 victory for Watford. This will be a wake up call and a realisation of what needs to be done to stay up.
Kaminski Ramsay Jones Gillesphey Apter Coventry Docherty Edwards Leaburn T. Campbell Oloafe I'm not familiar enough with the positional strengths of each player to know how well balanced that team is. But I ought to get a few right.
