Armando Broja moving to Burnley on a permanent. 24 next month, fair to say things have not worked out for him whatsoever since leaving Saints
Massively overhyped. Yes, he had a good 6-8 game spell but overall, was poor for us, with an attitude to boot, and not seen anything from him since to convince me otherwise.
Somewhat a victim of Chelsea’s system of big contracts for young players. Not from a personal finances perspective of course. But seriously limited his options for other moves. But it was his injury really that obviously set him back
Harsh. Injuries have really hampered him. He was clearly very talented when he played for Saints, hope this move works out for him.
Unless Tyler kicks up a stink, I don’t see the point in anything under £40m, because we’ll easily get close to that next season, because more than one club will be interested. I don’t think we can keep Fernandes so give Tyler a huge pay rise and a contract extension, the number 7 shirt and name a Pukka Pie after him
Fernandes & Aribo could both be close to the exit door if their absences today are not as innocent as the club might have us believe. I think maybe that Armenian or another midfielder should be coming in this week.
Most frustrating thing is that Everton don’t really want him… Moyes has publicly said they’ve been frustrated getting in the first targets…. So they’ve taken a punt on appeasing the fans by getting a young exciting player. Not like they’ve had him as priority number one all summer…. Unsettles a player…. He might be attracted by the wages but very much still needs to find his game at Championship level this season…. Then we really could command a bigger fee for him…. If we wanted….
He didn't get homesick, he didn't like Chelsea's youth setup. Besides, he was 16 back then, now he's 19.
Listening to Still when interviewed by Blackmore, it sounds like the rumours around Fernandes are true, and he said that if their valuation is met, there will the be negotiations.
