agents are vital for players the problem is far too many are more interested in their short term gain rather than the players long term future
I think there was wide speculation that he would want out if you didn't make the CL. He's turned into an excellent player (injuries aside) who 'needs' a club a step up, whether or not that's us is for him to decide. I'm not enjoying the drama but I'm also not bothered about signing him. For you lot though, it's a make or break season depending on his decision.
They are over powered and get too much money from too many sources. Clubs are thst ****ing lazy they pay agents to "find" new clubs for unwanted players. That really means gravy both ways and agents use managers to do dodgy deals. Thry were bad in the 90s but not they are so bad they are dominating the game and I think clubs need to be forced off them. At least push them back to being solely a player thing and make the players have to pay them in full. Clubs paying agents should be outright banned.
Thing is, is that the PFA provide Agents for players for free. Most players in the lower leagues use them. Also agree with you regarding most Agents (non PFA) and their motives.
oh agreed on that front but players need people to represent them and advise them the problem is too many agents are after the quick "win" as i said .
They can have them but force thrm out of benefitting from transfers. They used to make plenty off boot deals and such.they are tje ones benefitting from inflated prices. Fans are certainly not. At some point the realisation that the gravy train is drying up fans has to hit. Match going fans are being driven away.
Language barrier for Luiz Diaz....What a start?. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/luis-diaz-bayern-liverpool-transfers-35659404.amp
We use agents to get players; we pay a lot out in agents fees. Get the agent on side and you're halfway there to convincing the player

In real news morton is being more widely reported to be close to deal with lyon. I think in a less physical league he will come on strong. Decent player, bit hollowed chested. If the fee of 15mil as posted yesterday is true it is good money.
Newcastle have made a formal bid for Sesko at the valuation Leipzig put on him. Could get things moving if it goes through.
Can’t ask for much more than that. Wonder if during those takes Fofana name has come up the opposite direction. Lyon add £5m for Morton, we add a bit more for Fofana
