Off Facebook it says 1980 thought it might be a bit later?

 

It’s the 80/81 and 81/82 kit (black collar).

We stuck with those thick stripes for years as we plummeted down the divisions.

I meant the late 70s/ early 80s when we fell from Division 2 to Division 4.

81/82 was the final year for that type of kit which we’d worn from about 75.

 

With you saying continued thought meant we continued wearing them after 82.

And one of the finest diesel locomotives ever built, a BR class 55 English Electric Napier Deltic.

 

I've still got a couple of train tickets from Hull Paragon to Boothferry Park, happy days.
