Maybe register him, sell him immediately to a Turkish club and then get him on loan. Stupider things have happened
I agree,it's puzzling,he's hanging in limbo and allegedly not ours either. That's why I question who's paying him but somebody must be..It's a strange situation!!
Some would claim you need greasing, I couldn't possibly comment. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
His clause was triggered in April, which means that the deal was ratified by the EFL (because every transfer has to be sent to them when they happen) in April and part of the agreed fee will have been paid to Leverkusen. As of July 1st, his full time Hull City contract came into effect, which meant he will have got a signing on bonus, his agent will have got a fee and presumably some of the money will have gone to the club he was at before Bayer Leverkusen (Bogota FC) as part of their sell on clause. I'm not sure the EFL are right to do this. For all our mistakes, and they're fairly pointed out by the EFL I'll add, this feels like overreach on their part. While they're well within their rights to place transfer fee sanctions on us, I can't see any rule that states they're allowed to retroactively prevent signings from being legal. Registration, yes, but not the actual deals themselves if they've taken place prior to the sanction coming into effect. The rules are here: Embargoes and Fee Restrictions - The English Football League and I suspect this bit is the reason why we've let so many players go:
I think that only applies to embargoes and not fee restrictions. I think the reason we’ve sold a lot of players this summer is to demonstrate to the appeal panel and the EFL that we have reliable cash flow and revenue streams coming in not just now but from future transfer fee instalments. We will probably get £500K now for Alzate, plus another £500K next season and £500K the season after that at least, not including the add-ons. Same with Jones.
For those of you distracted by the lil sketch of Ehab I doodled to undermine what I think of the EFL's sanction, basically we currently have 25 players in our squad. 24 of those are "Established Players" (Laalaoui and Ndala don't count as they're only 20), HOWEVER, outgoing loans still count - meaning Omur, Jacob and Burstow all count toward the total, as do Cartwright and Lo Tutala. So according to the EFL, we in fact have 29 established players. Now the embargo has been lifted, we're fine to sign players again provided we don't pay a fee. Which, okay, but then long term that's preventing us from signing quality players we could then make a profit on, doing long term harm instead of helping us.
It is for embargos yeah, badly explained I know but we were under one until recently, so the push to remove players from the squad was made with that in mind I think.
They can't stop us employing anyone, they can only stop us registering and playing him in EFL games. It's also quite funny but we paid a fee for Sergej too, yet there's been no mention at all.
Thanks ST,it's very confusing I take it you don't teach art, that **** and balls needs some work done on it
Snip and Sketch is ****e though. Give me five minutes with a Stabilo HB pencil and my best mate's maths book front cover and I'll draw you a masterpiece.
