I mean, it's two scenarios really. The sensationalist side is Isak's sulking in Sociedad, aggravating for a move and media-darlings Liverpool - in spite of an array of talent, an £80m Ekitike and a clear need to clear a space before any other bids - have come in for him. The other side is Isak is still injured, aware of the spotlight and whilst isn't averse to a big move (no player ever is) is simply training in familiar surroundings in warmer weather to aid his recovery and stop him being assaulted with questions. It's weird 'cos I never felt Isak was a troublemaker. Always seemed really grounded and whilst any player should consider a move to an Elite club - L'pool, Real, Barca, PSG, Bayern - the rest is just clickbait. The deep frustration for us is if this was happening against a backdrop of Newcastle moving swiftly and efficiently for decent players, nobody would be bothered, as we'd have shown we can do deals. Sadly, we've been hamstrung by an incredibly myopic view of players we are after, dreadful slowness of PIF to replace Eales, lack of competence from the current CEO and no evidence whatsoever that Andy Howe or Steve Nickson have the faintest clue what to do. Or, they could be hamstrung by Eddie who's rejecting their suggestions. Either way, the transfer clusterfuck hasn't helped the Isak noise and we'd have been better off just ignoring it, bringing in players, showing ambition and shutting people up with actions not words. Instead we've got Elanga and Ramsdale.
Agree with all of that aside from the final line, as I think Elanga will be good for us and Ramsdale is an upgrade on what we have.

Saudi League should tell Salah they will pay him £600k pw if he moves there and tell all the media. Then put an official bid in to Liverpool for just £10m. Same with Ekitike, VVD and all the others.
