I’ve always wanted to cover ‘Solitaire’ as a rock ballad. I think it would work really well - possibly as a climatic backdrop to a weepy film.

The grim reaper will be having a good look at me. So many legends from my mis spent youth have either popped their clogs or are in the departure lounge.

Rick Davies, Supertramp frontman and co-founder, dies aged 81

 

Never the same band once Hodgson left.
Their span of albums from COTC through to Famous Last Words still high on my music listening.

 

I must admit that Crisis? What crisis? And Crime of the Century are the only 2 of their albums in my collection. Both vinyl. I think I have a best of cd somewhere but would struggle to find it.

I always liked their stuff, rock but not quite prog rock, but with a different lyrical and musical edge.

One of the best 70's bands.
