Southampton academy defender Sonnie Davis has joined Eastleigh on a season-long loan. He will be managed by dad Kelvin Davis, and is set to gain valuable first team experience.

Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that Sufianu Sillah Dibaga has signed his first professional contract, keeping him at the club until 2026.
The 18-year-old winger joined Saints at the end of his Under-16s campaign from Crystal Palace, and signed his scholarship contract in 2023.

U16s play tonight in the final of some cup competition in N. Ireland against Utd.

Lining up for Utd will be Kai Rooney and Jayce Carrick, sons of Wayne and Michael.

It's interesting with the kids of former players whether they have made it as far as they have through the academy system because of their talent or their name. I could imagine that they would get more leeway in the hope that they are late bloomers and start to show their fathers talents.

Good first half from Saints. Some really excellent footballers, particularly at the back. Man Utd more individual skills maybe, but we edged it. Still 0-0.

And the most satisfying thing was watching the look of sheer disbelief on the Man U players, who couldn't understand that the trophy wasn't just given to them, because they're Man United. The Saints lads were genuinely happy and excited to win!
