Very, very rarely now does a club put in a serious bid for a player without knowing the player is interested.

Maybe it shouldn't be that way, but in all honesty, I can't see any other way of doing it, and it's probably always been done. Even if they no longer meet in the dark at motorway service stations!

He's got experience and is left footed, but he doesn't have the quakity to play in a back 4 imo

If we played a back 3, I could see him in the middle of the 3 but even then I wouldn't want him starting any games for us

Maybe. But he's only a kid, (19?). Played and looked decent quite a lot in an appalling team which gave up around November. Must have played close to thirty games in the PL. And he does have that spark that few have. I like him.

Stupid money of course it is. But we sold a lad the same age for more and he hasn't played in the PL at all.

 

We’ve got O’Nien, Ballard, Seelt, Alese and Hjelde. We don’t need a squad player regardless of his experience- we need a pretty much guaranteed starter.
