Pretty sure he started off in central midfield at Arsenal but couldn’t hold down a first team place so got moved to fullback and eventually moved on. He’s a decent player but not what we need. Also not sure he’d want to come here as a backup.
Maitland-Niles can literally play anywhere across the back 4 or midfield. He would be Schmidt replacement but an expensive one. Can't see us going for him.
Not arguing that he isn’t, Farke doesn’t want Schmidt, we’ve been offered MN along with several other teams, doesn’t mean Farke hasn’t already said no We do need FB backup though
We have Ampadu, Stach and Gruev to play the defensive roles. We have Longstaff, Tanaka and Aaronson for the more advanced midfield roles and Stach can also do that. Aaronson might be an option on the right wing too and is our only real "10". We also lose PSR if we sell him because we ain't getting a decent fee for him. Aaronson isnt going anywhere. Therefore, in order to bring in Brownhill, we'd have to sell Longstaff or Tanaka. We've just signed Longstaff so that leaves Tanaka. I'd rather keep Tanaka than sign Brownhill.
Bilal El Khannouss - We have told Leicester we will meet the release fee, £24.5m and we have spoken with the players agent Source - Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri Edit - Sorry missed this on the breakfast debate
That looks a bit heavy. Leicester have offered him a contract and I dont think they have offered anywhere near that.
Sounds like its the only offer on the table at the moment. He's only worth what someone will pay him.
Exactly, chancing his arm if true. I suppose his thinking is, its what you'd have to pay in a transfer fee.
Which players agent was it that said to Bates “ my player is currently on 20 grand a week” and cuddly Ken replied, “well, no he’s not, he’s on £38 a week like everyone else that hasn’t got a job”?
