I think it will end in tears but maybe not until next season. Just think Rangers will be bang average under him.

I think they will do okay. Football will be dull. Fans will demand blood and thunder and he will deliver playing around the back. He won't see the season out

I actually might pay to watch the first Old Firm because if there was a game likely to annoy the fans with 89% possession and zero bite, that’ll be it.

Newcastle fan in peace. I didn't have much of an opinion on him until I saw him on a match of the day (or possibly football focus) and when he was analysing the game and tactics he was approximately a million times more astute, intelligent and tactically aware than anyone else I'd seen on it all season. OK that's a pretty low bar but he certainly came across as someone who knew their stuff and how to explain it, I'd back him to succeed somewhere sizeable if he can get settled. At Rangers the first full season is likely to be about surviving the job and gaining confidence of fans, players and owners to buy into him.

Gary Neville comes across as tactically astute, as does Jamie Carragher. But you wouldn't want either of them as your manager either. The bloke is an egotistical fraud that thinks he's the reincarnation of Pep.

I'd have to agree with this. One thing that doesn't come across in interviews is his complete refusal to adapt his tactics to the game that's playing. It seems to me that he also uses TV interviews as an opportunity to 'sell himself' (or at least he did until he got another job). All I'd say is keep an eye out for his post-match interviews (if you've got nothing better to do with your life!) and note how sour they become when things don't go his way or if fans dare to critcise him.
