MATCH REPORT (for first league game, blank as yet) The 'League Match' stat is based on regular season league matches played since August 1921. It does not include Cup games Play-off games Abandoned games Friendlies of any kind Pre-season games Expunged games from the beginning of the abandoned 1939-40 peacetime season Wartime league games (1939-46) Any games from June 1905 to May 1921 (amateur & non-league eras) As far as I know this is how league games are worked out. I have checked it and it seems to be correct.
Eight days to go, I think it would need a Mystic Meg to predict the starting XI and get more than 6 right. Perhaps the Sheriff would like to rejoin us and share his wisdom?
