    Seen somewhere else someone saying Chelsea are after a 5m loan fee and want someone to cover 100% of his wages which are apparently huge.

    If that’s correct, I hope we aren’t even considering the lad.

    On that score, absolutely. You risk that on a Xhaka or Diakite. Guiu who has shown nothing in the premier league on his few occasions, though?

    I don’t even think he’d be a guaranteed a start over Mayenda or Isidor.

    Can't agree there tbh, whatever it takes to get people up to speed in the important thing.

    I'm sure Wenger insisted on anything group related to be English but would talk individually to French coaches and players in their own language.

    Anything else would be crazy. I'm sure it sounded good, as PR, but I doubt it would work in reality.

    I became fluent in French by mixing with the locals so learning Provencal and Italian slang which is much quicker ...

    ... learning from English books would've been very basic and clumsy.

    It would be along the lines of Bobby Saxton telling the French how to 'get their f*cking foot in' <laugh>
