I'm always cautious about getting excited over pre-season results and/ or performances. On the plus side SJ seems to have a system that the players are buying into. I have a bit more hope than I did when the transfer restrictions were imposed upon us, but let's wait until the "real stuff" starts before we start saying we are going to do this or that this season. Squad depth is pretty thin at the moment and we need some of the proposed transfers to come off if we are to be competitive in the Championship - which is always a long, hard season.
Yes definitely. I'm now confident the defence is sorted, as are the wings once MB and LM are back. We need Destan plus another (hopefully McBurnie) and a couple of centre mids (Lundstram and at least one more). If Laalaoui is registered I think he'll end up playing a big part.
A couple of things stand out for me. Firstly he seems to blame everyone but himself. Secondly no mention of his driving offences. I’m not sure how open he has been? I hope I’m wrong but not convinced from this that he has dealt with his demons?
AS PER USUAL!!! We’ve been crap in every pre season under Acun so far… even Rosie we looked terrible against the likes of Scunny, Grimsby etc
He renewed his membership at his golf club in Sheffield last week as far as I’m aware from someone else who plays there.
If Jakirović is willing to give him a second chance then I’ll defer to his judgement but why is Williams such a knob? This kid has a massive chip on his shoulder.
He doesn’t strike me as very intelligent. Does bad things then wonders why people judge him. Was on like £50k a week at United
Inspirational stuff. Reminds me of a girl I once knew from OPE, she was always posting cryptic stuff like that.
Hope he does not upset the dressing room if he has a bad attitude, would hope he would be grateful for this opportunity and kick on from it.
Along with more self-pitying guff on his Instagram, yes. The lad needs to show a bit of humility and accountability for his actions. The way it comes across is as if he’s been unfairly persecuted.
I agree with you he did wrong so should own it and move on, was kind of hoping he would take this chance and be happy here if not i hope Coyle has a word with him.
Coyle will be a great person for him to be around. He took Wilks under his wing and he was in much worse legal trouble when he first arrived
