It was about more goals being scored when winger cut in. Which is funny as more were scored when wingers were doing that silly knocking the ball across thing. It wouldn’t work now as there aren’t the type of centre forwards there were then and teams are better defensively.
Could be, then one will claim they want no more of the conversation and won't mention it again. They'll follow this up by mentioning it again and again and again and again, what a ****er. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
You can tell he's had a couple of seasons around the first team in Ireland too though. I know they didn't make the grade here but Wood and Jarvis improved tenfold in Ireland. They probably went over there a little too late, it's probably a better move as a first step when players are teenagers.
I recall Bob Wilson saying the solution to the reduction of the number of goals scored in games, was to 'make the goal bigger'. It was so mad it was brilliant...Like a movie you see and it was terrible, but at the same time it became a classic.
Agreed, McCarthy just looks technically at a different class. Doesn’t seem to have a weakness other than he looks like he might lack a bit of pace
I hope he gets a start against Wrexham along with a couple of other youngsters, it'll be a good barometer of where they all are.
If you were watching City in the 1980s you saw some pretty dire stuff for most of the decade Something Brady not having a woman in his life will be an expert in. Another thing Brady and Vern have in common.
Memo to self, Some will recognise inter-thread subtleties, other won't, hey ho. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
And the next decade too. It's why I don't get too nostalgic cos even through rose tinted specs it was mostly ****ing turgid. All those by-line crosses either hitting the first man or missing everyone and rolling out for a opposition throw. Back 5 hoofing it aimlessly etc.. No way the football we've seen recently was any worse than that.
