He clearly doesn’t. But he seems to have an awful lot of influence.

He should just be making decisions around the football pitch.

I want Howe to stay. In fact I think it’s the club letting him down right now if I am honest.

 

Every single year despite any reservations some of us have had on here (including myself) Newcastle have improved consistently.

We were relegation fighters, midtable, top half and now we have won a pot and CL for the second time during this new era.

I am critical of the sluggishness of our transfer activities like most are, but I just don't think they do THAT bad a job.

 

Yes, agree he should just be making decisions on the pitch - and have some say in transfer targets. All managers want that. IF, IF, he truly has more power than his role determines, then the directors and those in senior roles have made that happen and they need to fix it. IF it is a problem.

 

Look Howe has done an absolutely fantastic job. Dont get me wrong here there is no doubt about that.

Hes taken us to places most of us have not seen.

So I dont really have any issues with Howe regarding the way he has managed the football team.

I think the club is possibly letting him down and maybe he is stepping up as a result. The people above him are failing there is currently no question marks about that.

And the scouting is dreadful. £55m for Elanga I think is going to be a big mistake but I am happy to be proven wrong.

We just don’t seem to be professional now. When Mandy was here things just seemed to work much better.

 

Glad to hear it GG, because there's at least 6 clubs out there that would dearly love you to want that, and they've all been busily working together, really, really hard to encourage the... Weaker minded?... down that path of thinking.

Howe isn’t the problem here. It’s the people around him imho. I think he’s just doing the best he can.

That’s about right. Currently the chuckle brothers are doing more for us right now.

 

They're minor investors in a football club and have no experience in the sport whatsoever, they're property developers.

What do you want them to do? Build Isak an apartment block?
