Haven’t Millwall sold their striker to Burnley? Not sure if they’ve replaced him like.

Wrexham as well if they splash more cash, although I’ve just got a feeling they’ll struggle a bit but ultimately be alright.

I have the league down between you and Ipswich. I reckon you’ll both be in the top 2, just not sure which way round. I’m leaning towards you guys tbh.

Not sure re Millwall striker. Just know they ended pretty strongly last season and I rate their manager.

Think Ipswich will win the league because they've had the most settled summer of the relegated sides and have the most proven manager. Our season largely depends on how up to it Still is as the squad will be good enough. Bit of an unknown quantity really.

Wrexham will be fine but won't trouble the play off spots imo. Brum the ones to watch of the promoted sides, tough start but if they come through it well can see them getting on a roll like Ipswich a couple of years back and us in 11/12.

Not sure a Lesta fan can really be complaining about financial rules when they've been found guilty of subverting them, <whistle>
but if this is the top 6 thread I'll have a punt.

    1. Liverpool. They've strengthened well in attack after losing Diaz and (tragically) Jota. If they manage to get Isak or Rodrygo then they are clear favourites
    2. Arsenal. We've added some quality and depth, especially in Zubemendi and Gyokeres. If we get Eze too, who knows we could win it
    3. Chelsea. They will be a lot stronger this season. Adding Delap and Pedro to their front line means they will be a lot more dangerous too.
    4. Man City. They'll blow hot and cold again this season. A lot will depend on whether they can keep Rodrygo and Silva fit. Pep seems to be one foot in one foot out these days
    5. Aston Villa. Emery has got a very solid squad, I don't know who've they've added. I think they'll look like title contenders one minute and then lose to Spurs.
    6. Newcastle Top 6 if and only if they keep Isak and Gordon. Both look like they could move and if they do, Toon will be scrapping around midtable.

Surprise outfit - Bournemouth. They did really well last season and were very hard to beat at home, I know they've lost Kerkez to Liverpool, but I think they will be pushing for a European spot this season.

Pretenders - United and Spurs Cannot see either of these two really improving much on last season. Although they'll probably not finish anywhere near as close to the relegation zone again, surely ?

Relegation - Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland

I can see Spurs improving, getting into the top half at least.
They have a decent manager, and their squad is no where near a 17th place squad. Big Ange was a helmet. With a couple of decent signings, they will get back in the top half.
United I am actual fearful for to be honest.
Cunha and Mbeumo are decent enough, but they need wholesale changes and they, as of yet, havent done enough. They still have the same manager who led them to 15th last season, and I dont really see what has changed for them that would give them this massive boost.

Liverpool have to be faves, though I think Arsenal will give them more of a run this season. Dont think Pool will have won it by March this time around, as they more or less did last season. Chelsea, well, we might challenge early on, but after Christmas we will slowly drift away I think. We can get 3rd if City or Arsenal have repeats of last season, or 2nd if both of them do, but to me Arsenal look solid.
Provided Gyokeres isnt an unmitigated disaster, they will be the real deal.

The aim is top six, you heard it here first.

Did I ever tell you the story about those teams that nearly got relegated yet won the league the following season?

    Let me know.

I mean, the aim of every team on matchday one should be to win every game thereafter and finish top of the league.
Man United COULD finish 5th, but assuming the top 4 is going to be, as most assume, Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Chelsea, then United would need to finish above Newcastle, Villa and Forest, and it would require a MAJOR improvement from United and quite a drop off from all three of those teams in order to achieve it.
Forest I can see dropping off, they have lost Elanga and I dont see Wood smashing in 20 goals again.
But Villa and Newcastle, even if the barcodes lost Isak, I dont see them falling down below 7th, and Emery is very seasoned in the premier league at this point and Villa have a good squad.
Then there is Spurs as well, I can see them improving.......

I think United will finish higher than last season, definitely, but I dont see them jumping up 10 spaces by bringing in Cunha and Mbeumo.
You never know though, stranger things have happened.

Out of interest, why will Spurs improve but we won't?

And didn't Chelsea win the league the year after Jose had you in relegation trouble and was sacked?

And by the way, I agree that Villa, ourselves and Newcastle are the sides vying for 5 and 6, which is what I said.

No way Forest do what they did last year again.
