    Absolutely great news ...

... but I can't help thinking we'll sign another keeper as well.

I really don’t like Ten Haag and it seems that players don’t either. BL have backed the wrong horse.

Makes absolutely no sense for Dan Neil that mind. Following on a local lad too.

I criticised KLD during the league one years, and Speakman even more often during the championship years - quite vocally at times.

    I was wrong and apologise.

    Haway the lads!

Wouldn’t surprise me either if Patto moved and we went somewhere like Wigan for competition.

No, 20 years ago I was down in Devon, seeing a lass from Plymouth at the mo, and considering the bad press we get for the weather up here, it does nothing but rain down there!

I trust the recruitment team to get this one right, we’ve been in the pool of very good keepers this summer, very unlucky to have missed out on our 2 top targets but we’ve finally got one over the line.

    Now for defenders

Data is an old as Allardyce and beyond, he was using it at Bolton for years ...

... it's the internet that's made it available to everyone, whether they study it or not.

Schoolkids do vlogs that look like pro-presentations and have stats coming out of their ears.

It's great because it means those who can't get to games, and see players live, can feel involved.

You're right that the likes of Shankly did it all by touch and intuition, and did quite well ...

... but football keeps evolving, not always for the best tbh.

Much of it is good, and even better if they stop keepers having a mystery injury every twenty minutes <laugh>

I’d have rid of Cirkin personally. Not sure he has the resilience for an ambitious club with fans who have high standards.

He does miss too many games but we’ve got a lot worse. Alese for example.

I've felt, for a while, that we'd cash in on Patterson for PSR reasons.

This fee would go a long way to paying for the new lad which would help bring in an experienced keeper ...

... perhaps a loan with an option to buy.
