Looks a nice watch. I have a Galaxy watch 6 Classic and it’s been great. The only thing I can fault it for is that it can throw up an alarm for atrial defibrillation when I use it on a punch bag as the vibration off the impact throws the heart rate off (had it over 200bpm). Gave me quite a shock when it first done it . I wear a chest heart rate strap when using the bag now. It's great for everything else.
I had the original Galaxy watch on my wrist until last week!! Was allowed to trade that in, pre order discount, Mrs Blue light discount, got the new 8 classic for 220! Plus get a free wireless charger too. Silly not too.
Aye it's canny. Plus I bought the watch maker premium app yday and through a link got a load of custom watch faces for it. Guy makes them for rolex, tudor, breitling etc. Looks really smart, nice to switch too if I am putting a decent band on and heading out.
I have a couple of the proper ones, just only wear them for the special occasions mate. This is just a nice face to look at on a smartwatch.
Nice one Prehab!!! are there any recommendations for a (ideally free) app to track your workouts at the gym. One where I can record how many reps/weights I’ve used to monitor progress? cheers
@Prehab26 - not sure with the amount of swimming I do I need a full on Garmin - are there any slightly cheaper models of smart watches you would recommend - I know that Garmin are top quality but for what I need at my ageing creaking self may not need as one so good
The Garmin swim 2 one is reasonably priced at 200 new or refurbished excellent ar 150. Otherwise you could go for this budget friendly one. This has been getting unreal reviews for the price (Amaz fit 2 ) https://amzn.eu/d/8PxzZH7
If you want a great operating system and new features, the regular Galaxy 8 (not classic) can be discounted heavily with trade in and other stuff. Think the Mrs got hers down to something like 130! Literally come out this week.
Ha. Wouldn't go that far. Just always used it and looked to be innovative in any setting I am placed in.
Good idea for a thread. I left the mainstream brands for mobiles (Samsung and the likes) about eight years ago. They're having your eyes out. Don't even go there with Apple. My next phone in a couple of months time. https://oukitel.store/products/ouki...Y2Njk4JGo1OSRsMCRoMA..&variant=50243943530790
Tried Strava? Noticed it has options for loads of training i don't do, so not sure if it counts reps etc.
Looks canny that, decent specs did I see a 8800mAH battery christ. I am in the Samsung eco system now and happy with it. Have been for ages TBH. Here friends and family off my plan so will do. Lots of good options of you go away from the mainstream like you say mate.
Good. For lifting tracking, my mate recommended (strong app). Never used it but looks to be getting mint reviews on play store
My current one has a 10000 battery. Charge it every 3 days. They do one with a 22000 battery. Charge once a week. These are the little things (like dual SIM) that the mainstream brands let you have, but when they decide. The alternatives are out there.
I’ve always avoided using the saved passwords app, on my phone. If my phone was ever to be hacked, wouldn’t that mean the hackers would have access to all of my online accounts instantly?
