We've kept rabbits since the daughters were bairns, they're now in their fifty's. Eight is the most at anyone time and her indoors even had a story about one of them published 20 odd years ago. Currently our miniature house rabbit has kept us entertained for over 10 years and if she survives til November will celebrate her 11th birthday, our vet tells us keeping her to that age is very rare. She might be little but needs cleaning out twice weekly and guess whose job that is.
My 2 , Pickle and Ziggy. I never wanted daschunds it was my wife’s dream dogs but now I love them to bits, my 2 best mates
These are my 2 German Shepherds Klaus black and tan Rudi the black one. Rudi is the least like a Shepherd i know totally dim but so loveable and adores everyone especially kids. So laid back. Klaus is a typical Shepherd into everything but again so soft and gentle.
Never heard of them. the dogs were named after a friend of ours sadly no longer here and his son. He was Klaus his son Rudi.
He’s extremely handsome. Gets loads of attention but character wise he’s all saluki so would generally prefer to be adored from a distance except by his people! Didn’t think I could love a dog more than the whippet we got when I was 7 but I do.( Sorry Duke). I’m 53 now!
Mini Schnauzers are fantastic velcro dogs, when they aren't barking at birds, squirrels or someone closing a door in the next county! Our salt n pepper, Rilla, went down hill and died over a week in December eight yreas ago, it was a huge loss. In its way it was harder than losing my mam after a two year cancer battle because at least we knew what was coming and the end was a relief. Plus It happened outside of my home. With Rilla I had no doggy welcome when coming home plus no morning and evening walks so it made a big impact on my normal routines. Anyway, I lasted five weeks before going to reserve our black and silver twins Minnie and Juno but I still miss Rilla, even though all of them quickly became daddy's girls.
My brother in law has reserved a mini schnauzer pup that’s going to be ready in September. Looking forward to meeting them, they all seem to be real characters.
I come from a doggy family and have been around dogs all my life. I was always alsatian oriented but my wife wanted a mini schnauzer. I wasn't fussed but eventually gave in. I was used to dogs having their own personality but mini schnauzers either have more personality or seem to display their personality more. Not only that but they all have big differences in their personality - even our twin sisters.
It's strange but I lost my last Shepherd 7 yrs ago. He was just so loyal to me . These 2 are fabulous love them to bits. Klaus black and tan one very much a mammy's dog follows her everywhere the other one very much my dog. Strange. However I can't take the screen saver of my previous dog off just can't do it.
Cracking thread this, really enjoyed seeing everyone's pets. I had 3 dogs, Charlie (border collie), Murphy (cocker) and little Alfie (yorkie). Sadly lost Murphy in 2020, and then Charlie in 2021, both 15 year old. Charlie was the most intelligent dog ive ever come across, unbelievably easy to teach tricks. Brilliant dog. To negate Charlie's intelligence, we had Murphy (aptly named), who was daft as a brush. Probably the stupidest dog ive ever come across. I would have them both back in a shot if I could. That leaves me just Alfie, and he's like Jeckyl & Hyde....nice as nice one minute, then like a little rottweiler the next. He's a little **** really, but he's our little ****. Charlie. Murphy Alfie
Klaus (Meine) and Rudi (Rudolph Schenker). Singer and guitarist from Scorpions...of Wind of Change fame. They're German, but I dont think they've ever been shepherd's.
