Brilliant stuff mate, keep us posted. I'll keep an eye out on Play Cricket, sounds like a couple great performances, well done to him. My son has the u13/u14 observation session next Tuesday.
Thanks, he did well and those were his first wickets this season across all age groups, so not a bad time to do it. Yeah, the Play Cricket site hasn't updated the results for the 2nd games yet - I keep checking because I want to see it written down Good luck to your son next week, hopefully he has a good session
An update on this, he didn’t Jack it in, he stuck at it and is now a lead paramedic with two pips on his shoulders and drives around in a Volvo emergency response vehicle. Stick with it kids, the world is your oyster even if you don’t know how to boil an egg. “Proud moment” the sequel. Poor bastard has the Redcar area though
As the father of a young man on the autistic spectrum, you have every reason to be proud there. My son keeps on surprising me with how he deals with life. Never met a happier person. Just keep being proud of your kids.
Another proud grandad moment today. It was the grandsons presentation day for one of his football teams. He came away with Manager's Player of the Season and Most Goals Scored. Not bad for a midfielder. If Jobe's going, I reckon RLB could take a look at him
A small thing but the boy came home yesterday with a cut knee from a sliding tackle. On 19th of December he had a full hip replacement. So proud that he’s back doing that and not thinking twice about clattering players!
Bairns just made an absolute monkey of uz. Trying to talk him into having some sweet and sour sauce on the left over Chinese, for tea. He was saying it's disgusting...I gans, aye, but you like jam...it's similar to jam! "You think jam on chicken is okay, dad? " ... ... FFS..aye, you've done uz there, son. I'll get extra curry sauce next time...
Son has messaged me from his holiday to say that he has received a letter saying that Isaac has been selected for the next phase, which is trials and assessments over 3 sessions at Chester ke Street. From that they will pick their U13 Academy squad fir next year. Brilliant stuff and so proud of him. He managed to get his name on the electronic scoreboard @ CLS when they played there recently and bowled a maiden over, which was great to see.
Thanks, although the next will be the most difficult, as you know. However, his confidence is growing all the time, as he takes in all of the things the coaches are telling him. How has your lad done this year?
