There's two ways to look at this Alzate business... (1) you're right it's not the worse deal! (2) it's not the ****ing best either? Personally,I think it's a pittance for a lad with his skills and it reeks of a desperate cash strapped Turk stripping assets.
Ffs this thread should be merged with the mental health thread it’s so depressing. My City supporting mate died last September aged 63 and my heart attack in November meant I very nearly joined him. The season hasn’t started yet, try looking forward to actually watching our team.
Is it right we got him for nowt after the transfer window closed? I presume he was a free agent and no one else wanted him.
What do you expect at this stage on a Hull City message board? The team last year barely stayed up. At the moment it is significantly weaker all over the pitch than it was and we can’t buy anyone to replace the players leaving. I understand players are still to come in - but it looks at the moment like we are selling players (I would argue on the cheap) and we have no idea what are doing to resolve the holes all over the squad as we have restrictions. This side at the moment is almost a certainty to be in or around the bottom 3. Not necessarily due to the first XI when all fit but because our back ups are few and far between. We still need a LB, probably a CB, at least 2 new midfielders (if Alzate goes), a winger and a striker or two. The season starts in a week and a half. It’s a mess. It could be solved but we have no real idea how.
sheff massive are at least taking up 1 of the relegation spots we only need to beat two more teams this time! oxford and charlton look weak..?
I mean, to play devils advocate to my earlier post we can’t assess that until the transfer window closes. My point was mainly to suggest there’s not a lot of positives to post about at the moment. There’s of course still time but bloody hell we are already making this season hard work.
Judging by Cooper’s tweets today: City think they’ve moved enough on so that all of these signings fit within a general wage cap. EFL will go through the deals and check that is the case. Think Baz is beginning to lose his patience with it all.
https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-agree-transfer-deal-10383138 Some positive news. Potentially...
I'll believe it when it happens - like the rest of the so called "signings" we are allegedly about to make. How many will be through the door in time for Coventry?
or, they were the only club interested in putting any money up, there were the other rumours but that's all they were. So after being released last summer from Brighton, there was only us interested in him and this year an American team! Doesn't really say much about how the rest of the football world rates him.
Maybe he might do some articles where he explains the tidbits of information he replies to tweets with and give us the full picture, including how bad it actually is. That might involve going two footed into Acun however which I can't imagine he'll do.
