My recent visits have now led me to conclude the Guinness is better in Ebenezers than Admiral. This caused difficulty the other day when I was killing time with the wife ahead of our train ride to Manchester and I tried to take he in Ebenezers. She told me that it looked like it should be on the main strip of Benidorm and if I was going in there she would see me back at the station for the train. She is getting too stuck up for her own good.
I missed a word out. I meant to put the Brid one was good for reasonably priced food etc…Admiral is a dump.
Walking past Ebeneezer’s look a lot more pleasant place to go in than Admiral. And is more pleasant when you get inside.
The vast majority of pubs in city centre are dumps for various reasons....useless staff...filthy toilets...****e "food"...and last but not least the herbs that go in them..
A mate of mine, Charlie, got barred from Sandringham, last week......My 1st question was: 'How the hell did you manage that? I thought they threw drunks in.'
Cityzen in missing word shocker, in other news, today is Tuesday. Jim's wife may have seen the locals and thought better of it. I don't give a toss, it's the company I'm with that matters to me. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
That Charlie Windsor is a one, especially at Sandringham. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Very good. Oddly, his surname starts with a W, but it ain't Windsor. End of...He'd kill me if I gave out his name on here...Though I'm not sure if he reads this stuff...Thank God.
The locals in Ebeneezer’s are OK. A lot more refined than a lot of the pubs in Brid. Of course one corner is a notch above the rest. Wouldn’t be out of place in the Ritz or the Savoy.
The one in Driffield is nay bad, sat outside there last week, beautiful sunny day, bloody hot mind, had a chicken salad, all in all not too bad… There are some really weird lasses in Driffield though, mind I did know one who was far from that, a quite famous singer, lovely lass….
I've been in the Driff one on many occasions, though not recently and it was a nice one, nice little area out the back tooOn the other side of the lane it's on there used to be a half decent Indian and tucked in behind there somewhere, there was a recording studio where the Happy Mondays allegedly recorded 'Bummed'?
Scarborough went downhill long ago, same with Brid. Funny how you don’t notice these things when you’re young, I used to spend lots of time at both as a nipper. Remember both being nice. Going back years later I thought both were dumps. I’m reliably informed both are still the same as they always were. Funny how seaside towns on the majority tend to be absolute holes. Not so many nice ones about and those that are are far too busy.
