After that utter clanger by Brandon Austin against Wycombe yesterday, I can't see this being sanctioned somehow...

Why would we loan him , we got him to cover Vicario as we did not see Austin stepping up , an injury to Vic and we are back in the **** again

Maybe, Frank's not hugely impressed. From his appearances so far, I get why. Apart from his debut, he looked like he was struggling.

Given that Vic isn't without his own faults, a safe pair of hands wouldn't be a bad idea, whilst Kinsky learns at an appropriate level. Buying young goalkeepers always carries a risk.

It all depends upon how flush we are expecting to be, given that COYS Daniel is aiming to win stuff, a reliable top goalkeeper would be a good starting point.

Matt Law has finished gooning away at his keyboard and says that Rangers is the most likely destination for Mikey Moore's loan

If Kinsky's being offered regular football by Lille then this would make perfect sense.
He's 22 and would learn a lot from regular Ligue 1 and Europa League football.

Would this be the case, though? I'm not 100%, but the rumour is that their keeper is joining PSG.
Lucas Chevalier played 48 games for them in all competitions last season and he's 23.
If he stays, then I seriously doubt that Kinsky displaces him.
The ancient Vito Mannone was their backup and he made 3 appearances.

Lille have also signed a Belgian called Arnaud Bodart and given him the number 1 shirt.
He's 27 and spent the arse end of the last campaign at Metz, joining Lille on a free this month.
Our man may have to fight for his place, but that might not be a bad thing if he wins.

If he does go, then how do we replace him?
Assuming Austin is 3rd choice, then do we get in backup or push Vicario?
Maignan swap with Milan? Lunin from Madrid's bench? Not that much out there.

Couple of reports saying LAFC are advancing in talks for Sonny and that he’ll decide his future after the friendly next week.

Sounds like the club’s allowing Sonny to make the decision too which I think he’s earned after what he’s done for us.

Personally I hope he stays another year because I still feel he has it in him in the right system but equally with a new manager in charge, a complete fresh start with practically all of Pochettino’s remnants now gone (all respect to Davies but I doubt he plays more than 5-10 games this season if he stays), if there’s a time for Sonny to leave then perhaps now is it, especially after captaining us to European glory.

I don`t rate any of our GK`s as good enough, Vicario is a very good shot stopper but is ordinary with his feet and flaps like a shietehouse door in the wind at set pieces. Kinsky is also a flapper from the little we have seen and has looked dodgy at times, Austin lets the ball through his legs, which is unforgivable.

The biggest issue with signing a backup keeper if Kinsky gets a loan is that, logically, we need somebody who is a reliable backup who will count as a free hit towards our HG numbers, and there's slim pickings in that regard

Angus Gunn and John Ruddy are probably the pick of the bunch, and honestly I'd say both were downgrades on Fraser Forster

Still got two years on his contract at Rangers, IIRC

That being said, with the Saudis reportedly looking to buy Aaron Ramsdale to bump up their HG numbers, Butland is a decent shout if we can get him for a decent fee

    Pretty dreadful window so far.

Not much time to fix it either.

We're in our usual state of not allowing enough time for new signings to get a proper pre season and integrate with the group and manager.

Far too often we sign players long after the season has started and then play catch up from there.

    One player in, zero out.

Transfer window opened almost 6 weeks ago.

    It isn't good enough.

It’s indeed awful! But I’m sure there are lots of discussions going on behind the scene.

I guess the club is having to do the hard sell to convince players why they should join Spurs.

Simple, offer them the going rate!

    I'm not sure there are.

Would be delighted to be proven wrong, but I have a worrying suspicion that Levy looked at the squad last season and thought "these are far better than 17th, under a new manager we don't need to add much to the group".

He wouldn't technically be wrong, as we did massively underperform under Ange. But 'far better than 17th' could equate to 8th, and that still isn't good enough at all.

This would have been bad even if Ange were still the manager. This is worse than bad.

He's been let down here, again the manager is expected to perform miracles with a substandard, imbalanced squad.

If this continues at this rate, it ends badly.

The super cup will be like sending Frank into a gunfight armed with a spoon.

At the very least, bring in Wissa.

I imagine they are waiting for the end of the Asia tour to offload Son and start bringing in replacements.

The only possible plausible excuse is that Frank may well still be assessing the squad to determine who is going.

    That's very generous.

It's as likely to be a complete ****ing mess following the MGW saga. I should imagine that has thrown everything up in the air.

We're not a club for Plan Bs...despite being in desperate need of them in multiple areas.
