The thing is you don't have to pick a side.. You can simply ascertain that Mitchell has seen what recruitment should look like at various clubs and that tells you something. Aston Villa is the blueprint of what a scouting network and recruitment team should look like. They have staff living very close to clubs all over Europe and can act fast... I'm not making this up I saw it on a short documentary.
