No idea but Burstow is reporting on 15k a week, which is just ****ing mental. I wonder how much Bolton are going to contribute, probably 2k knowing our mental owner.
he’s a free and if we are still in for him the EFL must have indicated they are working with us? gonna say with returning players I’m happier with what we have now if we manage Lundstram, aside from Alzate and Geldhart I don’t think we will miss any of them.
Who is reporting 15k for burstow?? so let’s see we bought him for a million or was it two? And gave him 15k a week Don’t you think this highlights a lad with a lot of potential? So last season was poor he was unsettled and didn’t do that well But He’s a year older He’s stronger now Got a little more experience And now is when you put some faith in him and get him really going But no Actually we’ve written him off and sent him on loan This is exactly what you don't do with young players
All I know he signed 2 years contract, no other info disclosed, and there aren't many reporters following his club.
I agree and I think Ajayi looks a solid signing, though on the day Ajayi was announced, we (as in the wider fan base) didn't know for certain that Jones or Macca were leaving. We have now got two centre halves signed, but Ajayi did sign a month before Macca left.
He signed a year long loan deal, he hasn't gone permanently. Unless something's changed and he is now going. It's a ridiculous decision either way. The question I keep asking with these is "what do WE get out of it?" It's not as though Omur was even a bad player, I think playing as a 10 under Jakie would be good for him especially now that we don't have Gelhardt. But instead we've leant him to Antalyaspor for the year while he's still got 18 months left on his contract. They get a good player we could have done with while we get the shaft. The only reason I can think of for all of this is that the £7k per week rule imposed by the EFL that we have somehow applies to players coming back after loans elsewhere and therefore he can't play. Which might also be why Puerta has hit the bricks, because they seem a lot more confident about Laalaoui getting sorted than they do about Puerta.
Just a question on Ajayi, maybe I'm going senile but wasn't Puerta confirmed before he signed, not sure about Laalaoui (likely spelt incorrectly) in which case WTF is going on...surely this the Sporting Director or Hodges remit...
I saw news mentioning both 1 and 2 years contracts. Let me double check federation website. Edit: He is not registered yet. https://www.tff.org/Default.aspx?pageId=30&kisiId=1434814
Struggling to see the logic of Burstow going out. I really thought he'd kick on this season and become a regular goal scorer
It just adds fuel to the fire that there's more at play. Hard to deny it when such bizarre decisions are being made.
He'll score loads for Bolton...L1 is his level...Have we brought in anyone to replace him? ...I'm guessing that's a no. Squad looks paper thin (AGAIN). As if it's already on the bones of its arse. Less than two weeks to the kick off...Typical..
The worst part is. Acun isn't spiteful he's just ****ing useless and incompetent. We all know spiteful owners at this club.
Other than the odd game or two per season, the last time we genuinely created chances consistently was early days under Shota. This is why all our strikers have appeared to be dog tod since. Estupinan got most of his goals under Shota at the early end of that season - the issue was we couldn't defend and ended up worse off for it once we got on a bad run. Rosenior was all about control - and splashing out that season on quality up top essentially made things work a lot of the time, but there were a lot of games that season where we created very little in front of goal. We were good defensively, but barely ever won comfortably. Walter - who knows? On paper he could have got us creating chances but due to the mental summer window we've no idea how that could have played out and we essentially ****ed him over despite his more obvious flaws. Nobody was surprised that didn't work out. Selles then comes in and for large patches we couldn't buy an effort on goal, but he did enough to have us stop leaking goals and had us limp to survival. None of these managers have been 'good' for the strikers we've pissed through because we've been starving these players of what they need. Delap could create his own chances. Since him, we've needed to play positive football as a team in order to succeed and we just haven't done anywhere near enough of it. Jakirovic - the jury is out. Positive signs in pre season but we've pretty much ****ed him over already in the same way we did Walter. It'll be interesting to see if we perform poorly (as we're largely expected to) whether people turn on him in the next few months.
