Not really. Talk that musiala with play more centrally in the 10 with Diaz left and olise right behind Kane.
Decent price and let’s hope it can somehow lead to us landing Isak too. Can’t really blame Diaz given the circumstances, I know everyone is quick to compare their wages to what we all earn, but the reality is you will want what you’re worth in any industry no matter the scale - and he is now getting that with Bayern.
of course it makes a difference. If you know that your opposite number needs the player but has little wriggle room, it’s completely different to if they need the player and have a massive war chest. I guess FSG have proven that they are prepared to walk away if the deal isn’t right….thats worth more to us I reckon.
We will see won't we This was why they were trying to buy wirtz earlier in the window? Doesn't seem to add up to me.
Everybody knows we will talk at them for mo ths to get a good deal. We simply tickle their player like, see what unrest ensues and act like we are good to deal with while low balling all the way. We have paid releases when the release suits. We have tried to negotiate for wirtz and frimpong and kerkez. Lfc loaded? Doesn't matter they dont throw it about like utd.
I think his point was that everyone knows we have the money anyway, so Henry saying so doesn't make much of a difference.
Elliott making noises that he doesn’t want to leave but may have to. He’s a real fan and coming to Anfield was a dream come true for him. He’s one of us and because of that, I think that I wanted him to succeed more than any other player. Whether he was ultimately good enough, we will probably only find out once he’s gone, unfortunately but Slot seems to know exactly the type of player he wants and Harvey does not fit.
And multiple reports were talking about how Wirtz was sold on lfc because was a clear plan for him compared to Bayern where wasn’t sure how would fit him and musiala in team together etc
Kompany had no clear plan Diaz will be sat on his behind soon enough, just like he was with us.. He did have a good return off lw slow in assists but also drifted through games a lot and bayern can be extremely demanding as a club and fan base.
I think Diaz is making a big mistake. I get that players want more money especially when they see other players either already in the team or coming into the team getting paid more and thinking that their own contribution to the team deserves at least equal pay for equal output. He signed a contract knowing the terms and the wage that came with it though. Apparently he asked to leave last summer after turning down renegotiation talks. His dream, he told us when he came in, was to one day play for Barcelona. So it's not a surprise that he would want to move on sooner rather than later. Maybe they wanted him last summer but not this. Who knows. He's been well supported by the club especially at the time of his father's kidnapping. He's been a great player for us and I wish him well. I just don't understand his choice of club and I don't think he will settle there. It's got Mané written all over it.
Hardly a step up for him if he has less competition for his place and to win trophies in a poorly contested league.
Elliott's problem is that: He's too slow, so isn't going to be a forward. He's not strong or composed enough to play CM. Combined with his lack of speed also means he's never going to be able to do the pressing role in midfield. So where does he fit? ACM seems to be only place, but we don't really play with play with that position and I don't think he's really good enough there for us.
Must be some assurances there with playtime (+ more money) , bayern typically have higher chances to monopolise the german competitions than we would in england. Im inclined to say hes bettering 'himself' for most part.
I'm not a mind reader but... He's going somewhere where he will still win trophies (probably more considering the league)... He's also going to be starting every game. With Salah, Wirtz and Ekitike all in the squad (and maybe Isak) he's not guaranteed to always start. There's definitely non monetary reasons to go.
If better = chocolate coin level medals and loadsa money sure. Same for kane. Oh you won something. So ****ing what? Thr fact you didn't win something in your first year is far more remarkable.
Not the words I would have used but I agree with the sentiment. Bayern Munich a step up, goodness me. Most South Americans want to go on to Real or Barcelona. Going to Germany is an odd move, still it's preferable to selling him to a Saudi club. He never complained and gave us some good moments. I wish him well. Just to add, I feel sorry for Nunez who's looking lost and now his best teammate has moved on. My respect for him went up the way he carried himself over the Jota tragedy. I would like him to stay and see how he transforms with Wirtz feeding him.
I don't get the Isak injury prone thing. I don't recall him being out for any significant time it's usually just a knock and a week or two or am I wrong? I've no problem with us signing him he's a great player but we must get cover at CB as well. I'd be happier if we sold players first so that we know the funds are there, Diaz is a start and at 29 it's the perfect time to cash in.
He's had chance after chance and isn't up to the task. Get what we can to go towards Isak asked a CB. I'd let Chiesa go as well if we can get something for him. Elliott is going to go as much as I don't like it but we should be getting a very good fee for him.
It's not that bad but its also a guy thats never strained by 2 games a week. Its the groin strains that's the issue 8f we can't take the strain then its an issue.
