This thread has done a full U-turn. We’ve gone from arguing to ****ing each other off. Amazing what a new signing can do for male bonding on here.
You’re 100 percent right there mate. I’m obviously buzzing about his ability, the the extras he brings such as mentality, leadership etc will be extremely valuable to the club.
We do still have 20 million euros that was earmarked for Lauriente potentially for the forward areas. Plus about the same again we were willing to spend on a keeper and perhaps on Mika too. I wonder what rejigging of the transfer kitty/resources they've done and how flexible it is (presumably plenty) ie whether the budgeting is position relevant or based on the individual. Again, I presume the latter but I'm intrigued as to how it plays out.
Just imagine you're Chris Rigg going into training on the first day ... ... I bet there's a shy smile comes across his face.
Someone posted a video of/about Xhaka on this thread over the weekend, maybe yesterday - I didn't watch it as I didn't want to get my hopes up and now can't find it. Can anyone help please?
Lazy, uninformed bitterness from them Averages just less than 1 yellow card every 4 games …..what’s that less than 10 across the season, guess it depends when he gets them in terms of bans 93 yellow cards in 399 games (Arsenal and Leverkusen) Something like 6 reds in his whole career
We'd have needed someone of his experience if he hadn't signed. Now we can keep monitoring loan possibilities for a striker and centre back imo. I think he'll play Mayenda against West Ham then see how he and the loan market pan out.
The mag sycophants in the media will be desperate to spin Ramsdale as a good signing to pacify the orcs. Claiming he knocked us back, whether true or not, is absolutely textbook lol. No doubt that claim will be plastered everywhere across the press and media over the next couple of hours
