The northern echo are reporting that Bayer are flexible over the payment terms but not overall fee - https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...n-hand-sunderland-deadline-granit-xhaka-deal/ Would think we will sort something out based on that
Ignore me mate. I am chairperson, treasurer and secretary of the Dan Neil fanclub. I am biased as sin.
Multiple CB's will be signed based on how Seelt is talking https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/foo...o-régis-le-bris/ar-AA1Jpnqt?ocid=BingNewsSerp
I was discussing the Xhaka situation, last evening, and responding with logic and courtesy ... ... I was eventually met with rudeness for no reason whatsoever, absolutely no need for it. If people want a debate, on an open forum, they should learn how to speak to everyone, not just their chosen 'elite few'. As for understanding football and having the skillset to do so is concerned, don't get above yourself. I could quote dozens of times you, and others, have decimated players, called them donkeys and that they should be binned instantly. You did it yourself with Ekwah when you said he was useless and his contract terminated then, at a different point, should be brought back because he was just what we needed ... all in the same season. Players are regularly written off but that's all conveniently forgotten when they turn out like Mundle, Mayenda, Hume etc.. If posters want to be sarcastic and insulting that's fine but I'll always respond in kind. The forum is for everyone.
A series of discussions between the two clubs have so far failed to result in an agreement over a deal for Xhaka, who has expressed a desire to return to England and play at the Stadium of Light. The financial packages Sunderland have proposed for the 32-year-old midfielder have not come close to meeting Leverkusen’s demands, and the Bundesliga club have instructed the Black Cats to return with an acceptable offer before the end of the week, otherwise they will call off talks for the rest of the summer. The Leverkusen hierarchy have consistently stated that they will not allow Xhaka to leave for less than €20m, although there is understood to be a degree of flexibility over what proportion of that final fee is dependent on performance-related add-ons and how much is paid in an upfront payment. “A decision will be made this week,” said Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes, in an interview quoted in the German media. “Granit’s side is aware of the conditions under which a transfer is possible. If that doesn’t happen, he’ll stay.” Sunderland are willing to offer Xhaka a three-year deal on Wearside, with Regis Le Bris and Kristjaan Speakman regarding the former Arsenal skipper as a hugely-attractive midfield option. Whereas the general thrust of Sunderland’s recruitment policy has largely remained unchanged following promotion, Speakman spoke of being willing to “tweak” it earlier this summer, and a deal for Xhaka would fit that bill. While the midfielder would almost certainly have no additional resale value given his age, his influence and leadership, both on and off the pitch, could be crucial as the Black Cats look to reestablish themselves in the Premier League next season. Le Bris was asked directly about Xhaka in the aftermath of Saturday’s friendly defeat to Hearts, but did not want to give anything away.
I assume I still have the right to respond on here If people want to be rude and sarcastic, for no reason, they'll reap what they sow.
exactly this we all want the best for SAFC we have different opinions on players ect but all want SAFC to succeed lets all get behind the team and give them best chance of reaching main goal of this season staying in the premier league club as earned our trust
cannot see the club getting ripped off but if Kyril himself done the negotiations. I can see us paying a tad more man is necessary
Big week of transfers in the North East I think, hope Keith be working overtime! Is it true that Livramento's is pushing for a move to city?
