It just seems that in the absence of any "news" people were going on an on about nothing in particular and drinking Watney's Red Barrel and singing Torremolinos, Torremolinos...

We’d had nowt for a few days but Rolfes has just opened it up there.

Essentially overruled Ten Haag and confirmed he could go.

I’m not offended by 20 with add ons. Of we pay the adds we’ve stayed in league and he’s paid for himself.

 

Don’t particularly love up to 20m euro but it’s better than £20m I guess. Just have to hope that he’s the difference - or that we stay up regardless! Don’t want to contemplate a world where we go down with the squad we’re currently building.

 

I'd say so, it looks as though Bayer are constantly putting out messages while we sit there grinning.

I'd guess we've made our position clear and KLD has spoken at length to Xhaka.

As a family man he'll have discussed everything and won't want to change his mind imo.

Seems a positive update on Xhaka - Would be a game changer for us in my opinion

This whole Lucumi saga seems strange hopefully he wants the move because I think we can get a deal done with Bologna

 

Enjoyed watching him in the Euros. He was in a canny little side as well.

 

Think if we get Xhaka it’s far easier to close Lucumi.

Kind of glad they are vocally forcing a timeframe on this (think we would of moved on by the end of this week anyways) but at least we will have clarity soon. I really think this gets done this week. I dont want us to overpay and get in that Ellis Short realm of transfer dealings, but this is a big one and for the difference in valuations, I think we'll make an exception for Xhaka and get it done.

 

I imagine David ornstein may break the news, he got the exclusive in the first place

Get Xhaka in and our central midfield is prem standard imo.

CB & GK still a massive worry for me, but good update about Xhaka.

 

Yeah been some of the other tweets posted by that account which seems a Bayer fan page, they posted that Rolfes (sporting director) has said they are buying new players so hopefully another good sign

 

Walking into the club is becoming easier for players like Xhaka.

We're multi-lingual, have people like Ghisolfi and RLB ...

... the stadium in becoming what it needed to be and the hospitality for player's families and friends is rapidly improving.

And, of course, we have quality players already here, every little helps.
