I've not been more sure of a transfer since Enzo signed ... ... Xhaka is as sure to come to Sunderland as Isak is to leave Newcastle. It's just two accountants flicking their beans at the moment.
Yes it’s got that feel about it. We don’t know how we will look come the end of the window, but when we look back, this signing (Xhaka) if it happens could be the most significant one. Fingers crossed it comes off!
Andy @SAFCsource on Twitter 'Sunderland, led by former Roma transfer manager Ghisolfi, are ready to raise their bid and come close to Bologna's €25 million asking price for Jhon Lucimi with €20 million plus €2 million in bonuses.' #SAFC https://sport.quotidiano.net/calcio
Worflags on X. Got to be a p*ss take surely. Newcastle are prepared to seal Kieffer Moore deal with both Sheffield United and player’s camp. Fee in excess of £5m and long term deal, all set to be done very soon.
Bit of info/crack from Bradley Dennis on Twitter who seems canny “This week: Expecting 2 in and around 5 out”
The current owners have been like a breath of fresh air. If there's one thing I'd like them to improve on though, it's the selling of players who are no longer wanted. Too often, we seem to be able to negotiate loan deals, when we really need them off our books. Matete is a prime example. Unless the 5 you mention are players we are sending out to get playing time and experience, like Young and Jones, then I would hope we can get permanent moves for the ones who are no longer part of the clubs plans. Matete, Hemir, Pembele and Ba, to name but a few.
Definitely agree there. Quite a few who’ll never be good enough and we need off the books permanently
