The elanga signing you would’ve thought would of helped Isak think about saying. If everyone agrees it’s right for Isak to go, it has to be abroad, we can’t sell to rivals
Would be nice "just once" to see a star player say " i am happy here, it's where i belong". I say just once but i mean often, players are not always stars once they move on.
I agree. Looks like Wissa has done same thing with Brentford and it's a **** show there too. Clubs need to take a stand, Agents are taking the piss. Simple solution is players pay agents a % of their salary.
Some reports that Isak will have face to face talks with Al Rumayyan and Howe, but I don't think that will change his mind. If Newcastle land Sesko it will soften the blow quite a bit and if they then get 2 or 3 other 1st team additions I think Isak will soon be forgotten. If Man United hijack Sesko it's going to become a very difficult situation because I don't think Newcastle would sell until they have a replacement... Surely?
I don't think we going to get Sesko however there are plenty of other strikers we could go for. Our issue is speed. We need a striker to replace Isak, assuming he goes A back up striker (lol though our fans think Wissa isn't good enough) A top quality centre back (oddly all quiet on this front) Seeing as EH is adamant we continue with passing out from the back then we need a top GK We've sold Longstaff so we need a CM replacement Then we need to start upgrading the bench. Maybe another CB considering Botman looks to be a walking injury
I think Howe rates Schar burn and pope too highly. It's the weakest area on the pitch. Newcastle have never prioritised CBs in my entire life.
We tell them we would sell, but for £150m only (structure TBC) and that any phone calls or comms without that figure quoted will be ignored. I'd also stick a sell on clause of 20% in their in case he goes to Saudi (that way PIF may want to big £200m for a 30 year old Isak and we will get a chunk of cash.
Unfortunately it really does matter, because while Newcastle can say no they'd have an unhappy player, that's not committed and his value will drop over the next season. I'll be amazed if he's not sold tbh.
Would you go as far as saying... you'll eat your hat if he is still a newcastle player on the 1st of September?
