All this early hype and yet can't even be arsed to post an update ahead of their world cup final match.

Credit when due. The ladies showing us all how it’s done.

 

Good game and finally some decent penalties. Thought Spain were the better side but England defence really stood up. Manager showed how sticking with players really pays off. Amazed that they picked Carter again after her performance against Sweden but she was outstanding today.

 

Kelly always seems to make a huge difference whenever she plays. Excellent.

 

Agree. Until she came on they seemed short of attacking ideas. She changed the game.

 

Only watched the penalties so can't comment on the match.

Seriously though there wasn't one good penalty amongst them if you ignore scoring as a criteria for being a good penalty.

 

I thought Kelly's was excellent. Hardly any run up but smashed it top corner. Goalkeepers don't stop those.

 

Not sure who she is but if that was the last one (only one capable of coming anywhere near that description, I think) then it was half way up the goal and half way between middle and post. Excellent that it went in but saveable.
