Yeah, it depends who goes but if we lose Diaz, Nunez, Chiesa as well as Jota and add Eki, Isak and say Fofana, for example, it’s arguably stronger but not so if we only buy one forward. Wirtz allows rotation with Slob, Grav, jones and Maca so again, arguably stronger….LB is definitely better, RB we’ve replaced Trent - so CB is our big issue, assuming the forwards are bought. If we also lose Konate, we have a huge issue imo I guess we have to see what plays out - this could be a wonder window or it could prove to be ill-fated. FSG rarely get it wrong so we just gotta see

If the compensation is less than Newcastle want for him - it surely will be? - any bank will facilitate a short-term loan for him to buy out his contract (€130m, at a wild guess?), knowing Liverpool would pay €140m, even €150m) and they could take €5m for a week's work, and the agent pockets the rest. We're sort of complicit in that, but not by much. I dunno.

They got it wrong in 2020 when they let Lvren go and thought they could get away with 3 CBs, one of them being the hugely injury-prone Matip (see the parallels?). I think because Fab had played a few good games at CB they could get away with it - but that turned out to be a fallacy as it gutted our midfield long-term as Fab ended up playing there for months until he himself got injured. We need 4 dedicated CB's, especially if we're keeping Joe for another season. Fabulous as this window is, the idea of Endo, Tsimikas, Gravy, and Robbo playing CB in the Prem and the CL is mortifying.

how much was Wirtz , Diaz , Ekitike et al basically they make an educated guess nothing more nothing less on valuations . All that matters are the value the club who own the players registration put on him and the club who want his registration put on him .

Diaz will take a day just to get to Munich for medical so it'll take a few days to confirm this deal. For me Diaz had done surprisingly well at 9 and has always worked hard. He has also been injured and ineffective and hasn't delivered from.wide despite being our main man to actually best someone. The cup final was a classic example. He should have trippier on toast all day there but he just never got at him. Imo its a good deal once the goals have been replaced.by an option slot will actually use at 9. It also puts it up.to Ngumoha to actually grab for a squad place as an option at his age. But there is also an element of **** you to him too. We were there for him at all times and made him a star so I dont know where they were with contrwct talks but he was driving a leave story before klopp left so go enjoy the bench there dick

Shame to see Diaz go as always put in 100% offensively and defensively. Won’t miss him trying to beat 3 men running sidewards across the pitch in midfield area when could just pass it on, but he did a great job and always chipped in with goals especially this year in that 9 position when not natural to him. But big money for someone that wasn’t first choice in the wing and wasn’t a natural in the centre, 2 years left and had been angling for a new deal/move for 12 months. Couldn’t really say no to that one. Does put pressure on gakpo to really produce but with kerkez offering a threat down the left should allow gakpo more freedom as well - as well as potentially giving Ngumoha a shot at getting some minutes
