It means they never made an assessment so they can't be right about anything. It's absolutely fine to keep waiting for answers btw, but some people like to figure things out and are bold with it. The Joelinton to midfield thread is a good example. I think we have the answer because Paul Mitchell actually told us and what's followed backs it up along with his occupational experience being fairly telling.
Or stupid or both. If you require a task to be done and there is a prescribed period for that to be achieved then I would say it is stupid rather than bold to make final assessments on the success or otherwise of that task before the period expires.
We already have the answer imo because Paul Mitchell told us, so if we're going to start labelling people stupid i'll fire that right back for ignoring someone that's seen recruitment at various top flight football clubs. What are you waiting for God to turn up and declare if he's right or wrong? Like I say you don't have to commit to anything.
Time willl tell I guess. However I cant override what my eyes see. PIF and Saudis actions do not back up what they say in public.
And EH hasn't seen the same? And Ashworth was a perfect fit and he will have seen as much as Mitchell?
The counter argument to what Mitchel said would be this...... What did he do to improve the situation in the 12 months that he was there? At least Ashworth did a massive recruitment drive with regards to the scouting department. He also improved the training ground. I've not seen Mitchell appear to achieve anything of any significance.
It's not really a counter argument it's just a question on another area of the club alltogether. We'd be making an assumption to say he did nothing though and there could be any number of reasons why nothing got done even if that was the case. What I do know is he said recruitment wasnt fit for purpose which was his honest opinion based on his occupational experience at various top flight clubs. I don't think Mitchell is beezelbub, which is the only other explanation and actually when I heard him speak at stack he seemed quite funny and likeable imo. I have always found Craig hope to be particularly unpleasant when he picks his victims... Steve Bruce was an easy target for him for example... Got really vindictive. Is it possible that nufcs recruitment is on par with other top flight clubs? Yes, but I think Mitchell is probably right, that's all. Everyone else will have their own opinions and thats fine.
