Gone for Oscar, could have won at Silverstone.Hopefully he will behave behind the safety car if it`s called out. He`s going to be so determind to win after being hard done by the stewards.
Piastri really on it this weekend, a consistent half second on your team mate is a real rarity (unless you’re Verstappen!)
I was thinking McLaren will take a bit of wing off. On reflection though, with rain a possibility tomorrow and with pit stops giving them the chance to use their pace, maybe it does make sense to stick with their setup?
Yep, hats off to Norris, he’s eliminated that deficit overnight and they’ve looked really closely matched today. You’d expect the RedBull to be strong here, and it has been, but the McLaren looks 1-2 tenths better and given this wouldn’t appear to be a Ferrari circuit it’s good for them and their upgrades to be in the same ballpark as the leading cars. Hungary will be a good chance for a Ferrari win I think.
Has anyone seen Teds qualifying notebook ? The Helmet walks by , Ted says ( quietly ) hey Helmet , where’s your mates , how’s Christian ?
I think it might be time for Lewis to consider a career change if he doesn't sort himself out in the next few races. Don't ruin a legacy. Better to bow out when it is done. A simple mistake yesterday, albeit a good lap time. He may have it in him still but the consistency and I think self belief seems missing. It may be as much physiological as ability. Let's see if he can make amends today.
@Big Ern I know I am getting old but is that what the younger generation looks like...scary! And to think he will be voting at the next election.
Meh, it was an okay lap time. It was his second run, when everyone was going a lot quicker. Leclerc only did one run (he pitted to save tyres on the second as he was safe), but he was still slower than him. I think he'll definitely stay to see if Ferrari can somehow get a jump with the big regulation change, as he'll have a chance at a championship if so. But, yeah, he's certainly not the force he once was (though of course is still decent).
