We have to register 25 Players 8 being homegrown. or we don't register 8 homegrown but the total then is 22. can register as many u21's as we like. How many homegrown players we got ? can see a few over 21 but could look out their depth in the Prem. Wheres our stat man to sort it all out lol.
Looking at that we have 18 home grown players. Great post by the way. I have classed people like Meslier and Struijk as home grown too as they came through the academy or U21 process, there are also potentially 8 of those who will be leaving which would leave us with 10

As on homegrown we have plenty from the uk but stll a bit wet behind the ears in working it out

Alex Cairns Karl Darlow Sam Byram Pascal Struijk (academy grown) Ethan Ampadu Joe Rodon Jayden Bogle Sean Longstaff Jack Harrison Daniel James Largie Ramazani (Scum Academy) Nmecha (Man City Academy) Harry Gray That's 13. A bit unsure on Nmecha and Ramazani but they should count. Then you have the lads who will leave or not make the cut like Meslier, Joseph, Bamford, Crew, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Chambers, Chadwick and Gyabi. We're well covered. Get the Brazilians in.

So saying the ones we are keeping are mainly on ur list Emu. Harry Gray is a under 21 so making that 12 to fit in the 25 squad. We have 14 or 12 foreigners depending on Gnoto and Joesph being classed as u21's That makes 26 or 24 in total to be registered. so we either over the top or can bring one more body in unless someone is sold or whatever.

Mahady-Chadwick-Chambers-Gyabi-Crew-Gray all don't need to be registered being u21's so whatever happens to them doesn't matter. Gnonto-Joseph both 21 are they classed as u21's? Joesph wants out anyways so really just Gnonto. I have a feeling Ramazani could be a one we could let go of if Paixao comes in. Struijk and Gruev could be other possibilities if we add more new arrivals. coz we will register 3 goalies for sure.

To be classed as under 21 player and thus not required to be registered in a clubs 25 man squad, players need to be born on or after 1st January 2004. Also Mes isn't classed as Home Grown, as he was only registered with us for 30 months prior to no longer being classed as an under 21 player, thus missing out on home grown status by 6 months. Harrison also isn't home grown as from the ages of 14 to 22 he was playing in the USA Basically we can have a maximum of 17 foreigners registered in the squad, so until we get near that number home grown status isn't too much of a worry. (Currently we have 12, so in theory we could sign another 5 non home grown players) So far we have a total of 28 players that would need to be registered to be able to play for us next season, thus a minimum of 3 either need to leave or not be available for 1st team football. If we presume those 3 are Meslier, Greenwood and Gelhardt, then for any future signings another current member of the squad will be dropped and hopefully sold, off which at present Bamford and Harrison are the 2 most likely choices
