Nice to be back. well that was poor, Orient better team. From my perspective Positives: Louza, Baah, better dead ball kicking, going forward instead of going backwards all the time, crossing the ball more Negatives: passing woeful, few chances created, can't cope with a high press by the opposition til next time....
I think you can add dodgy defence to the negatives - I really hope we don't spend next season trying to play the ball out from the back
Just on my way home from the game. As others have said, a good work out and plenty to work on. That said, I was at Gillingham this time last preseason and this performance was exponentially better! Other guys around were too, all agreed. It's a brilliant awayday here, 3 microbreweries visited, and 2 half reasonable bars and a decent pub. Halves mostly, pointless getting smashed these days, it would ruin tomorrow and possibly Monday too. Quality over quantity, that's the rule!
Thinking about it not sure BB, they only scored once when we gave them the ball on the edge of the penalty area. We soaked up a lot of pressure.
I think we were shaky at times in this game definitely.... but with the midfield reinstated we should by stronger than we were in this game
With all due respect to them, LO are a division lower, yet we often looked very shaky against them. Yes we soaked up a lot of pressure, but it was pressure we invited upon ourselves through sloppy play. Many a Championship club would have punished us for that, as happened last season.
Everything in moderation, including moderation. That was always my motto, but the big sessions are all but a thing of the past, I don't bounce back like I used to. ACBF next weekend is the litmus test!
