While I'm Wisconsin I picked a couple of shirts for their university. Their mascot is the Badgers. South Carolina's mascot is the Cocks. Well Gamecocks, but every just calls them Cocks. People unironically, without trying to be funny wear shirts that say "Go Cocks" all the time. No one in America knows what Badger is slang for. I've never wanted a half and half shirt more than a Badger/Cocks shirt. I could wear it out and about and people be oblivious why.
Yeah, we've had the discussion on here before... A lot of people were unfamiliar with it, but others were. I think it's regional slang not used by everyone in Britain. Badgers isn't exactly the same as beaver as to me a beaver is unshaved, a badger is shaved or a landing strip (hence the stripe). But the two expressions are more or less interchangeable. It was used quite a bit on old 606. Or rather the badger emoji was used to mean a vagina to avoid the overzealous censors there. I suspect that's why the badger emoji made it's way into not606. I believe historically (although I've never heard anyone use it this way, it used to mean prostitute)
