This might be the worst I have ever seen Dan Neil player TBH.

Playing like he's been on the buck fast

 

Neil and Hume both guilty of taking too many touches on multiple occasions.

 

Weirdly centre half is giving me the least worries today. Seelt and Ballard have done fine. We could do with reinaldo getting fit though!

 

At least it’s pre season.

Shows the need for 5-6 more signings though. Need the depth

Got to be honest, with that starting 11, I didn't expect to be beaten all over the park from Hearts.

 

I disagree there, couple of balls into the box where neither have looked comfortable and Shankland (who is ****e) has manhandled both on a few occasions. But yeah, Huggins looks so lightweight.

Neil is really concerning me now though. Every game this preseason he's been comfortably the worst midfielder. Hope it's not the looming contract/exit effecting him

 

Personally think they’re struggling a little.

Neil slowing it down too. Huggins struggling. Hume also a worry tbh

 

Pre-season is a funny old time though. Happens often.

Hopefully it’s shown RLB what we need and what is his best 3 in midfield

To me the pace is back to last season’s and it’s obvious. The 3 games we’ve had before this were completely different intensity wise

 

Think lots of it is an intensity thing. They’re closer to the season. This is their big friendly before the kickoff. We’re at 70% across the park. Other than the centre halves there’s not been an outfield player who’s properly on it. Doesn’t excuse it totally, but it’s a fair bit of mitigation.

 

Let’s not get dramatic here though, these are already playing competitive fixtures our lads haven’t been playing more then 45 minutes a game so far

 

Hearts are a lot longer along in their pre season I think but no excuse for the performances some of them have put in that half - Neil especially has stunk the place out , Talbi has also been invisible again but we seem to have a reluctance to bet the ball out to him in the same way we are trying to get it to Adingra

 

Dan Neil absolutely miles off it, too many touches and lost the ball so cheaply!

 

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing neils stats from that half. Just have turned the ball over / poor passes 15 times

 

We have one player who is worth more than their club TBF though. I would expect us to show some more quality.

 

Nah our defensive problems are at full back. The two big lads have largely dealt with everything f and been solid in possession. What is more worrying for me is the total lack of creativity. The focus on here is massively on Neil (and he’s been pretty poor) but the creative players have been completely non-existent barring a 2 minute spell for Adingra mid half. Enzo as a 10 continues to worry me.

 

this manager cannot get them playing and the ref is shocking it all combines to this league one performance today

Disappointing this. We don't look a threat at the moment and we've made too many mistakes. Hope they're getting organised at half time and come out fighting.
