Just been niggling away at him for 2 weeks, he's still training and everything. Thankfully we haven't signed a defender so he hasn't exactly missed any of the gelling time with the players in front of him - should we decide to trust him this season.
The lineup has made me realise how much work needs to be done in the transfer window, very poor squad depth with players injured
Would imagine that’s knocks for both (unless they’re both about to make a move). Wouldn’t leave our bench so short of defenders otherwise.
Anyone thinking Shankland may see this as a big opportunity to show us what he can do. He’s been linked a few times. If he puts in a dazzling performance he could end up with us. Probably won’t happen though.
While there’s definitely work to do, it shouldn’t be overlooked how many are currently unavailable. There’s 9 players who we’d expect to be around the first team unavailable. They’d make a massive difference.
Is this the end for Patto now then or is he just injured? All seems abit suspicious to me now how he's barely featuring this pre-season after playing week in week out for over 2 years now
He's already been ruled out for the next 2 weeks. He played in the club world cup so he's having an extended break . He started most games for Atletico the last being against PSG
