That’s my thinking too. Young, Turkish player contracted until 2028 and they just let him leave for nothing instead of loaning him out? It would be like us cancelling Burstow’s contract by mutual consent instead of loaning him out or just selling him at a loss but at least getting some money back.
I can only speculate, may be it is because of his wife. Couple of months ago, Enis got married, but his mother posted on Instagram that they don't want bride in family, posted some words hard to swallow. May be Enis really wants to leave country so he asked Trabzon board a favor, similar what Tufan asked from Fener. The Destan deal though, they essentially own half of him. As they’ll get 50% of any sale. He’ll play a lot more for us then them too so it’s a very beneficial deal for them in a sense? Lundstram may forfeit his contract to move home, that’s not unheard of when foreign players move home after a stint abroad. We did the same deal for Tyler Smith from the Blades
Or you could argue he will have left his baggage behind. A mother should support her adult child not berate him on social media.
I missed it. He can definitely finish and header a ball. If only we played attacking fluid football like that!
I disagree. If we need to get some money in and replace with frees. Centre back was the most obvious position.
There’s not been a great deal of transfer activity throughout the Championship so far. A few teams who have sold big have invested in a couple of new players but it’s been fairly slow, so far. The speculation about us bringing in this player or that player has resulted to nowt so far (apart from the deals we did early). Are we going to firm deals up in the next few days? If not we’re starting the season minus all last season’s loans and with a couple of ever present/regulars sold. Oh and at least one fresh injury. How do we improve on 4th bottom under these circumstances?
