On one hand I don't want Newcastle to have a Man Utd sized set up, entire departments making a mess of everything, but at the same time we are still too small fry. The issue is that the people working within football at a "corporate" level are just not very good. Look at almost every single club in the premier league, they are ran by amateurs, you have a big money entity behind almost all of them with a few piddling middle managers running the show and mostly ballsing it up. This is why PIF don't just hire people, how do you find a person with any actual skills to come to Newcastle United when Man U and Tottenham can't? City have had the same person running the club for ****ing years now and for a good reason, when you lose your "guy" you can't replace him. Everton is a good example, just a rich fella and a bunch of local British call center managers running a football club with not a clue about basic business. Liverpool had their "guy" lost him, struggled a bit and rehired him. You just cannot find the talent in football to run a football club.
