A new day and let see what is in store for us. As I said previously don't sell Isak until the last day of window. Spend the money 1st on new players so we are set and then he can go. If he goes to Liverpool then he just another player to hate.
So Bruno and Burn are saying that Isak has a thigh injury and are looking forward to him returning to play.
Danger there is if we splurge based on his sale value and then his deal doesn't go through in time, we might be screwed.
My take is that the project sold to Isak hasn’t fully materialised. A combination of PSR restrictions and personnel changes has meant our transfer activity has been (understandably) underwhelming for some time. Isak has likely waited patiently this window for signs of progress in the market, only for the club to be outmanoeuvred and embarrassed on multiple fronts. We can’t blame him for the timing. And if this spurs the club into action and galvanises the team ahead of the new season, it might actually turn out to be a positive. I agree that we shouldn’t sanction a sale until replacements are lined up and deals are agreed. You never know - an influx of talent might even be enough to convince him to stay. Perhaps that was Isak’s intention all along! So… could Isak and Šeško play together?
Or The Victims will stall a deal and look for a price reduction because they’ll know our PSR potential problems if we don’t sell.
It's frankly embarrassing how slow the club has been this summer. Eales - We've known that he was stepping down for months and no replacement. Mitchell - Absolutely useless and appears to have caused more harm than good. Players - They were sold a project but we haven't heard from Al Rumayyan. Does he still want us to be the best? PSR - No longer an excuse. Just break it and take the points hit. **** the PL
1. Getting the right person and not just anyone. 2. See 1 above 3. Why do ‘we’ have to hear from him telling us what he’s already said? If the above is embarrassing then maybe don’t watch and support a football club.
1 - The "right" person - They've had plenty of time. 2 - Clearly the wrong person and surprise, Darren Eales appointed him. 3 - Because he's the owner of the club who had plenty to say in the past.
1. So who have we ‘missed’? 2. That was my point. Anyone can be appointed eg Mitchell but it’s appointing the right person that’s important. 3. And say what now? The same as he already has? Or tell everyone what is happening internally? Not advisable.
1. Didn't say that we've missed anyone but it would have been advisable to have a succession in plan in place early. 2. Mitchell has caused problems at every club he's been at. That should have been a red flag. 3. Basically just tell everyone whether they are still invested the project
H es the only one left out of the originals. Mandy and husband gone. Ashworth gone. Eales may as well be gone. Howe and his team are now running the show and it’s going to be interesting how he gets it back on track.
1. I want to join in with the bullet points 2. Am I doing this right? 3. Boy do our fans get their knickers in a twist over selling a player
It's not just selling of a player. We all see it, no CEO, no SD, no comms, stadium plans kicked into long grass. No sponsorship for low lying fruit. PIF and Saudi clubs funding our rivals. If that doesn't ring alarm bells then I don't know what would.
Yassar has a habit of turning up when the fans are grumbling a little, says what we want to hear then pisses off back to Saudi. If his real goal is for us to be No1, then it's obvious he has no idea how to actually get us there.
Since when have fans given a **** about all that stuff? Is it interesting to discuss? Yes! But worry about? No
