On Perri… his manager called him the best keeper in the world last year… and some Leeds fans seem to think that’s an official ranking, <laugh>

Bu many accounts he was our first choice so hopefully they’ve seen something in him,

His save stats were decent - post shot xg against he was 6th in ligue 1. But then there’s a lot of keepers in France with good save stats for some reason. Not checked him out for crosses etc, but if Emu thinks he looks flappy then I don’t doubt there’s some truth in it. Guess we’ll know soon enough.

Wow if true and i don't see why not, he would be hell of a signing, a guy who truly knows where the back of the net is. I am positively drooling at the thought. :1980_boogie_down:

Cresswell, knowing about interest elsewhere, demanded that he be a regular starter or Leeds allow him to be sold ... his father wanted him playing and if it meant a move away, so be it ... interesting that no English club came calling

He's taken his chance at Toulouse, good for him ... however, he wanted a move away, and he clearly wasn't starting ahead of Rodon and Struijk/Ampadu ... Leeds got promoted without Cresswell, so selling him was the right thing as there was no point keeping someone who wasn't willing to compete for a place and contribute to the cause

To win a title you need a squad of committed players who are willing to push each other every day ... even those who only get the odd appearance off the bench are vital to the success of the team ... without players who work hard every day and keep challenging those who have the shirt, you can't create a winning culture based on hard work and selflessness

    SIDE BEFORE SELF, EVERY TIME!!!

Cresswell put himself before the side, just as Joseph is doing now ... good luck to them, but Leeds ongoing success is the bigger project. Farke understands this, and he's building something really good that will serve Leeds in the long term

We all have our opinions but Billy’s post contains certain facts. We were promoted without him. His dad definitely wanted him playing first team football, he went onto social media make this point. Creswell didn’t want to stick around and fight for a place in the first team. I don’t know if any English clubs came in for him or not but he went abroad and selling him (with hopefully a sell on clause) has been beneficial for both parties.

My last word on it is listen to Hayden Evan’s. Yes he is the season ticket holding head of the agency that has many Leeds kids on its books he also employs Archie’s dad and Charlie’s dad. He was fkg fuming and backed Cresswells dad during the tweet storm.

Okay, but it was still only his “opinion” that Charlie should have been starting. Unfortunately the manager held a different view.

Tongue in cheeky here Doc but if you agree with the agent then you're usually wrong.

Doc, don’t go getting upset again, it isn’t worth it, this is a social media forum (much as I hate to admit it to myself because I swerve all of the other twaddle as wide as I can). In some ways you and Billy are quite similar, clearly knowledgeable passionate supporters of Leeds United. You are also both a bit heels dug in on opinions and that is cool. Sometimes I tease you, not to hurt but because I know you will fire back and the whole “debate” is a bit more lively. Matt must be rubbing his hands together because he earns a king’s ransom on the back of this.

I “liked” Billy’s post because I thought it was quite fair and balanced. In simple (my) terms he stated Cresswell et al wanted him to play or leave. That’s fair, the kid believes in himself (and would never make it if he didn’t). Farke cannot have emotion, he is paid to deliver, black or white. He very nearly delivered in year one and did deliver in year two. I haven’t checked but I doubt any Leeds manager got so many points per game over a two year period? Regardless of the level, that is factually what the guy did.

Do I “love” Farke? No, not quite, I should warm to him more after what he has done than I do but 100% he has my respect and has earned his shot at the Premier League with us.

I really don’t care what any agent says or rumours about Archie’s family having their nose put out of joint. Great uncle Eddie is still there emotional with the best of us and probably has no vested interest, just what is best for LUFC, same as you and me :emoticon-0148-yes:
