Clearly? The kid wasted almost 3 years of his career. Clubs are as much about attitude as ability in recruitment these days. The only thing clear is he is his own worst enemy.
Trafford signing for Man City from Burnley, so Burnley looking for a keeper, maybe Ramsdale will be interested. Newcastle wanted Trafford and missed out so maybe Howe will want Ramsdale now after being linked before Man Utd trying to sign Martinez from Villa. Was talk that Emery liked Ramsdale so if Martinez goes maybe they come in for him. Market looks like it’s starting to open up for some potential options for Ramsdale to leave
I see Trafford is leaving Burnley to return to Man City instead of Newcastle. I wonder if this will end up having an impact on the Ramsdale situation. Edit - didnt see the earlier posts!
I was actually thinking if I was Ramsdale I would much rather have a shot at getting a Championship title on my CV rather than another relegation. If someone mid-table came for him then fair enough, but i'd be put off going for another likely relegated side when he has an extensive history of relegation. But I know this isn't the reality and all players would take PL football over Championship regardless. Also the club probably need his wage off the books for this season.
Tbf if it wasn't a world cup year I think he probably would favour Saints to Burnley. If it was an established PL side, then sure, he would be off. But he likes it here and won't want to be known for being recycled by relegated sides.
I think this is what you call, erm........complete and utter bollocks. No one is signing Fernandes cheaply.
I don't know how much that even matters in relation to England selection these days. Tuchel has had Trafford in the squad while he's been playing in the Championship and has picked Toney even though he's playing in Saudi...
I'm assuming that Trafford moving to City would make Ortega available to buy. And despite playing for City, I'm guessing he'll be on a lower wage than Ramsdale? So he could be of interest to the likes of Burnley or West Ham or any other club who might be an option for Ramsdale.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cj3r3pk8k1yo An approach means f all and I dont expect it to happen at all based on comments but there are plenty of teams in this league looking to play very good football this season.
