That would make sense, especially with all the outgoings done or soon to be done (probably to demonstrate cash flow into the club). However, Baz’s article suggested the delay until early August was frustrating those at the top at City so it’s anyone’s guess, really. Surely if the club believe they have done no wrong then they would want their appeal heard as soon as possible. Oxford had a quick turnaround last summer regarding their fee restriction appeal which was reduced to a suspended sentence. I’m not confident at all it will even be reduced, let alone we get an outcome anywhere near as favourable as Oxford’s.
