I think i'd just make him stay, this season anyway, an unhappy Isak is still better than most other strikers.
It was presumably looking likely we were going to sell him, hence the club wouldn't have wanted to get him knackered on tour. Exactly the same situation as when Arsenal made a bid for Cabaye before our first game in 2013 or something, and he comes straight out the squad.
Also we don't want to be a club that takes this kinda ****... Sell him and tell him to **** off on the way out. Then build and try and defeat him in the long run.
Like we all know, this is a huge moment for the club. And it’s in the hands of guys like Darren Eales and Andy Howe. Oops. Think Yasir might be a bit peeved. Wake up call for that lot too maybe.
They need one to be honest. Since Staveley left, it's only Eddie that has held things together. PIF by funding our rivals via Saudi league or CWC are fast becoming a hindrance to NUFC. We get all the flak and very little benefit for it at this point in time.
Champions League football and a first trophy in decades. Sorry, but I am not blaming Saudi PIF. We've had the best of the club in years.
Yes but any rich owner could have achieved that. We got PIF and whilst grateful for the 3 years and cup I guess I am frustrated at how passive they are. I really thought we would be getting someone like, well Boely. A savvy owner that would push things to the limit.
I wouldn't want Boehly, a maverick who always walks a tightrope. Chelsea could get hit HARD at some point.
They won't though. They've had 4-5 billion at least injected to them by last 2 owners and had one fine. We don't even look at maximise sponsorship for **** stuff like official tractor supplier etc. 10 x 1 million deals etc, pay for salary etc but no we play by the rules whilst all around take advantage
The problem with Saudis is they’re Saudis. They take for ****ing ever to do anything, it’s all got to be in paperwork, literally, and done via lengthy chains of command, it’s very backwards. I think it has been outstanding and if we’re optimistic can be even better. There’s changes need to be made but nothing seismic.
