See it as trying to make half million criminally. Not the product involved. There was guy in Scotland "only" importing TEA BAGS. Defrauded half million when falsely claiming to buyer the tea was Scots grown. He got jailed for 3.5 years.
Our best bet is a high sell on I think. Something like £5m and a big chunk of any future sale if he ever reaches his obvious potential.
I’d imagine it all depends on the team he ends up at. Clearly couldn’t be bothered with a **** team like we were in 22/23 and didn’t fancy the Championship/we didn’t want him around because of his attitude the previous season. I’ve mentioned it before but I’m pretty sure when we signed him it was just after he got relegated from the Bundesliga with Bochum so not sure if he was doing the same thing there. He missed a lot of game time at PSV because of injury, and he’s reportedly failed a medical at a club last summer. That’s obviously concerning that maybe clubs are finding some underlying injury concern. I think he’s good enough to play regularly for a mid table Bundesliga side, and that seems like the perfect place for him. Likely doesn’t need to throw his toys out the pram about being in a **** side, and can just focus on playing well and maybe getting a big move later on if he kicks on.
The underlying issue is: hungry players want to play and prove themselves, no matter what. If there is no interest then they have the self belief to force their way into the side and get noticed. ABK doesn’t have that drive. Arrogance without application is a surefire way to underachieve.
Agree 100% with this. If he stays fit and is hungry he'd be a bargain for someone and his next move would be £20m+.
Well it sounds like there has been plenty of interest, even with him not playing. The issue seems to be about the fee and that he failed a medical. He clearly burnt his bridges here with his behaviour in the 22/23 season, maybe he regrets it, who knows. I expect him to move on this summer, even if it’s just a loan.
No chance unless the injuries are the deciding factor. Players who can legitimately play in the top leagues aren’t very common. Someone will give him chances for the next few years at least.
We don't really know either way. He had a very good, what 4 month spell for us, other than that he has either been injured or sulking. It wouldn't shock me if he ends up playing lower league football any more than it would shock me to see him playing for a side competing in Europe.
