Sad but true, some posters are predicting a first day defeat unless we get rid of the likes of Ballard and keep buying more players.

The only way Riggy won't be playing is if he doesn't want to stay I'd say. I personally wouldn't want him to be playing too much. We should be looking after him. He played too much last year out of necessity, and those games mount up and tell later in a player's career. He probably won't be here then, but it's still our duty IMO.

You're right about the Academy. I have no doubt they also see it the same way. Half a dozen players or so arriving, which is inevitable and essential for any promoted team to have a chance, won't change that. But one thing leads to another, and as we've made it back up, and we have some means, we should try and stay there. IMO, there has been nothing in the recruitment that threatens what we have done so far, it's just a level or two up.

It’s true what he says though, he wasn’t great for Villa. Had half a season then faded.

Juve didn’t fancy him at all.

From our perspective be a great step up in quality, but we wouldn’t be beating of competition with a stick.

I’d rather have Xhaka 6 years older.

I’ll be clear that I’d be happy with Luis as he would improve us, and I’d maybe get to see Alisha’s butt in real life.

I'm predicting we win 2-1, carried on a wave of optimism, adrenaline and a never say die attitude.

We're going to be okay mate. You're right. KLD is the man. He is all in, that much is clear, and if we cop it this season, he'll still be all in.
One day, he will pass this club on, no doubt. But it will not resemble the tottering and declining club he bought.

22-23 I think he was quality for the middle section of the season, think he got player of the year, but other than that was in spells.

I think he's a very good player but I'm also not totally buzzing about it - probably because of the cost tbf

Id rather Xhaka out of the 2 as well

Wouldn't complain if we did sign Luiz

I'm still hoping we make a cheeky bid for Connor Gallagher as there was talk of him being available

Yep. Must be me. I just watched him and saw bad body language and not watching out for his mates too often. Too much has been spent on him though, so he must be a lot better than I thought.

See I actually preferred him in his last season, but he he's not signing so suppose it doesn't matter.

Think he'd rather go forest for their Brazilian cohort and European football.

You sometimes just get players like that though, when you watch them and don't see what others see

I'm like that wiyh Garnacho tbh, yes he shows glimpses but never been a massive fan even going back to watching him in United youth team

Gallagher would be textbook, how I wish we could fight for him.

Be beautiful to have a current England prospect in the mix. He can do all the jobs as well a 3 of him Elf and Diarra with Rigg and hopefully Dan in reserve would be adorable.

There’s too many in for him because his price is stupidly low.

    Aye, I agree.

I’m obviously not saying he’s ****e, I just don’t think he’s one that’s going to give us value for money, or one we can’t get a better fit than.

Mad to think we debating whether a Brazilian international ticks boxes.
